RPG VX Battler edit – Gargoyle

The VX battler Gargoyle looked way too cute for my tastes.

Evidently I wasn’t the only person to think so. The Ace battler for the gargoyle is much more intimidating.

But considering how much it looks like a dragon, it still seems sooo useful, so here is my attempt to de-cutesy-pie the gargoyle. Head no longer looks smiling and – well it reminded me of a dog waiting for a pat on the head, really. Small edits, but I hope useful. For VX owners. =]

Xavioo made a goblin generator.

Open in Photoshop or GIMP.

There is a great Portrait by Zephyrskye to go with it.

Simple GIMP: How to make a Sprite Sink in Lava or Water

A tutorial I made for my class. For private, non-educational, non-commercial use only.

Preceded by this tutorial:

The tutorial uses this image – looks funny here with the black background but the image is of water ripples.

I only edited them. Feel free to try them out and tell me what you think.
If you use them in your game, credit is appreciated.”

My favs are #4 and #6
